1990-91 Legacy . . . if correct, Tom gets first dibs on prize. I can’t remember if the Legacy was offered in ’89.
I was thinking 80s-era Japanese six window hardtop, and the Subaru was one of the few (pillared) examples available in the US, so that sounds about right.
Dang, another lost opportunity. I knew it had to be the first generation Subaru Legacy, with that odd misaligned rear quarter window. I think 1990 was the first model year in the US.
