1988-1989 Merkur (Ford) Scorpio.
Ford Probe, any year.
I don’t know what kind of car it is, but judging from the amount of moss on the window, the location is somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. I’m pretty sure that the reason nobody here in Seattle washes their car is because they want to encourage the growth of automotive moss, which in turn counteracts the greenhouse effect. This car belongs to someone who cares about the environment!
That might just be the adhesive used to bond the window bleeding out from behind the molding. It’s a common malady on many domestic/domestic-branded vehicles from the late-80s through the early-Aughts.
I saw it all the time at the Chrysler store. It only took about 60 days of roasting on the lot for it to start showing up on new LHs.
LOL – I didn’t even notice the trees reflected in the glass until cfclark mentioned them. I thought That Guy was referring to the gunk at the corner of the rear window.
I think Saturn SC or SL from the ’90’s

The bulge looks as though it might be a hood-mounted tach on a Goat or Firebird. But the orientation is wrong. I think Steve65 might be right, it’s a Lancia Appia with the optional Zagato power bulge brougham package.
Merkur Scorpio
I lean toward the Scorpio as well–I think the green in the shot is the reflection of the trees overhead, though.
Mercury Sable was the first thing that came to my mind.
I’m with the Scorpio crowd, that window intersection looks very 1980s Ford/Mercury and the Scorpio was the only one with a hatchback and spoiler. I also vote for a Pacific NW location since the stuff in the corner of the window looks just like what grew on our Escort in Beaverton.
My first thought, because of the color and the shape of the tail light, is an Audi 100 or 200, circa 1989ish?
