I agree with you there. My parents had one (1973) with the 225 CID Slant 6. it’s definitely the trunk of one. I’d say this one might have the 340 CID V8 based on the paint scheme.

A Demon – esque Dodge Dart Sport ?
I’m gonna be bold and not just predict that it’s a ’74 Duster, but that it’s a ’74 Duster 360.
Did anyone say it was a Duster yet? It sucks that I was busy for this one, I’ve been on a roll lately.
As with the other guys above, I will be bold and say that it is a Feather Duster. For one, it’s the only way I can win, and second, I think that might be one of the most whimsical car names ever and it amuses me to post it.
I’ve only seen one Feather Duster in the flesh. If the guy didn’t want as much as he did for it for it..

AMC Gremlin
Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but how is everyone getting a Dart or Duster? I see the mopar-ish stripes, but do either of those have a shut line that looks anything like that? I’m seeing a hood that wraps down into sides of fender. More like the aforementioned Gremlin than anything else.
It’s the trunk panel between the tailights.
Ltd has a good point. This could be an F body (Volare/Aspen).
