This is for Mike Butts’ next piece. Now he sent me an ever smaller snippet, but since no one got the ’67 Tempest, and it is almost Christmas, I didn’t want to be Grinchy for this Clue. So I made it bigger, for what it’s worth. Maybe too big? Update: We really want a winner, so here’s a bit more.

It’s too old for me to know it, but my first thought was that it was an Auburn Cord.
I agree with Bryce – it’s familiar, but I can’t quite work it out. I was thinking La Salle or Packard Clipper, but they don’t seem quite right…
It’s an Oldsmobile ’37, I presume. Similar to the one featured in the Christmas story.
