Late 1960s Mercury, possibly Marquis or Park Lane.
’66-’68 Olds. A big one…an Eighty-Eight or Ninety-Eight?
Actually, make that a ’69-’71 big Olds.
’71 or ’72 Ford LTD or Galaxie 500.

Oldsmobile full size car, maybe 1971-72 Delta 88? Or 60’s Delmont 88?
It looks like so many Oldses from the 60’s/70s.
1973-4 full size Mercury.
74-77 Gran Fury
’67-’68 New Yorker.
I guess ’74 AMC Matador. It had very curved-out wheel wells like we see here.
Excellent, now we’ve got GM, Ford, Chrysler and AMC guesses all on the same clue!
1970 Olds Ninety-Eight Luxury Sedan
1972 Chevy Impala or (…gag…) Caprice. My favorite last of the big Chevys.
I HATE the Caprice name in case anyone wondered…
BTW, what is the problem with this website? I have learned to always copy my comment before hitting “post comment”, as at least 50% of the time there is an error and the comment is lost and I have to re-enter it. Really annoying.
Zack, the same thing has happened to me enough times so that I always copy (when I remember). I’ve lost a lot of comments. Sometimes the rewrite is better anyway, though!
I have never experienced what you describe. Browser issue? I use IE at work and Firefox at home.

The wheel cover and shape of the wheelwell say 1971 Buick, but the sharp body crease doesn’t. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say 1971 Buick Lesabre anyway, maybe it’s just an optical illusion.
The body crease in the photo doesn’t seem to match up with the early ’70s Olds either, but I think that’s what it is. Maybe it’s just a weird sun glare effect in the photo, not a body crease?
It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been faked-out by something like that in a CC Clue… sometimes, things just look much different in these tiny glimpses than if we’re looking at “the big picture” as well.
I’m gonna take this opportunity to revise my guess to a 1971 Buick Electra 225 – I consulted Google and the GM wheel covers that I recall looking like this seem more common on the Electra than the LeSabre or Centurion. Olds’ had very similar ones too, probably the same in fact.
I was so far off! I was so sure that wheel cover was from an Olds. Haha.. I love these clues but I’m not very good at them!
I’m thinking a midsize to large Chrysler product, something from the Malaise/Brougham era.
Then again, there’s a whole lot of tuck-under in that wheel well, suggesting a Bill Mitchell (GM) product of the early-mid 70s.

The color screams 60’s to me, so I’m going with 69 Galaxie or LTD……

Oh, I’m too late! This screams 1971-73 Olds all the way, from the wheel cover to that shade of gold. I’ll guess that it’s the Tiffany Gold of the original 1972 98 Regency…
Chrysler Newport, 1970 or 71’ish
I’m in agreement about an early 1970s large GM product. It’s hard to tell if it is the Chevy (Impala/Caprice) or Olds or Buick. Once you get past the grills and the interior, they do tend to look alike.
