A tip of the hat goes to Verbal for correctly guessing today’s Datsun 210. He was also the first person out of the gate.
Tomorrow you will meet Edna. What did Edna own?
Why, a Plymouth Valiant, of course. 1970, 1971, or 1972.
looks like a ’69 to 71 valiant
1969 Plymouth Valiant
I’ll say ’67. Yeah, Valiant.
It can’t be a 67 – they don’t have side marker lights. 68’s have little round ones. So, 69 or later.
Ya know…I sure don’t remember ever seeing a fussy little rubber-lined rub strip like that one on any Valiant or Dart.
could also be 1970-1-2 Plymouth Duster . . . Had a roommate who had one… slant-six experience and all…
Ooh, right. ’68 or ’69, then.
Definitely a Valiant – early ’70’s vintage.
valiant-41.jpg is what the image says so I too think its a valiant, a ’69
I’ll echo the A body-philes here and go with a 72 Duster.
1st Gen Ford Fiesta…
I’m no good as guessing these (I don’t usually try, and whatever pops into my head is usually way off base), but 1978-80 Ford Fiesta was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the photo….
call me crazy but… rambler american
Again, without looking at prior comments, this appears to be a Plymouth Valiant, model year ’69 or ’70.
First try ever at one of these. Just my instant gut reaction and nothing to go on but instinct.
First time for me as well, I thought Mini Clubman. Clearly, looking at the other comments, we’re both very wrong!
I’m going way, way out of the box with a 1970 Toyota Coronet
Did you mean a Toyota Corona?
The Valiant front ends had slight design variations between 1967 and 1975. The picture looks most closely like a 1970, with the rectangular chrome-trimmed side marker lights and a vinyl side strip with the extended chrome cap at its leading edge. Latter Valiants had raised side markers and a vinyl strip without the cap.
God, I’m such a car nerd.
In my little world, it is impossible to know too much about Valiants. 🙂
