What vehicle will be stealing the spotlight in this week’s Junkyard Outtake? Take a guess. I dare you!
Full view clue! That’s a first I believe, nice. It’s not a Subaru or a Saab, otherwise I have no idea.
Bronco II?
Nice looking Cadillac.
Toyota celica/supra from 80s?mustang?its a coupe.

Well the side-exit exhaust says late-80s/early-90s Chev pick up to me. Sadly nothing else about it does, so we can discount that. But I am intrigued at what I see – front engine, rear drive, solid axle – presumably coil sprung as there aren’t any leaf springs, offset fuel tank preventing provision for dual exhausts…I’m going to go out on a limb here and predict that it is, in actual fact, a car.
The offset fuel tank was the first thing I noticed. Also notice the low mounted rear license plate. The shape of the rear bumper (for reasons unknown) makes me believe this car has vertical tail lights. My best guess is a ’67 Chevy Nova or a ’67 Ford Fairlane. O wait, I see it now, it’s a 2000-2006 Chevrolet/GMC Suburban.

I was thinking H-body (Monza/Skyhawk/Starfire/Sunbird) but the two thingies at the outboard of the rear bumper refute that guess. It looks GM.

Those thingys are the bumper guards. 4 of them on a Monza/Clone.
Perimeter frame, 4 link rear and double wishbone front suspension says GM product to me. I vote B-body based Cadillac.

Oh, what the heck. Lessee….small car with coil springs in the back. Can’t quite tell if that’s a u-joint in front of the diff, but it looks like a really heavy driveshaft for a small car, or….torque tube drive. Torque tube drive you say? Would that make it a late 50s-early 60s Rambler? A wagon, due to the exhaust exit on the side instead of out the back.
Put me in for H-Body GM. Not enough detail to tell if it’s Monza,Starfire,Skyhawk or Sunbird but it is an H-Body Special. It’s not 76-77 Vega/Astre because the fuel tank is on the wrong side. Hard to tell what motor is in it as all H-Body had the exhaust exiting on the passenger side.
1980 Buick Skyhawk, the one with the body kit, which had plastic “aerodynamic” rocker panels fitted under the doors, and the are missing on this one.

Early-70s Monte, or some sort of Colonnade-era coupish broughamy monstrosity. Whatever it is, I think it’s a two-door…maybe a Dodge Magnum/Cordoba/Charger?

The front end really looks like the clip from a Nova.
Want to say a 78+ A/G-body based on the suspensions, fuel tank placement and overall proportions but the front and rear bumpers aren’t right. Second guess would be an H-body but I’ve NEVER been under one to say that in confidence.
Only thing I’m sure of is it’s definitely not a Foxbody(similar suspension layout but the tank isn’t offset on them) and not an X body(proportions are right but coil springs on the rear kill it). I can’t really tell if that’s a perimeter frame there or not either.
Not a G body because the spare tire well would be where the muffler is

It’s a short, 2-door, rear-drive unibody car with a coil spring rear.
I’m gonna say its an H body(late 70s sunbird), because of the torque arm, the bumpers, & front suspension.
It’s an H-Body, I’m certain of that now.
I’m go on a limb here and say it’s a 1975&1/2
Monza Town Coupe.
The Torque-Arm runs right next to the drive shaft right up to the trans.It has already been removed in this example.
Now on second glance, I think the Torque-Arm is still there, but covered in snow.
The H-body has 2 bumper guards next to the license plate on 1975 models, 4 guards as shown above on 1976-newer models.
