OK CC readers – here’s one for you – name the make and model of this vehicle. I’ll give you one hint – its not a Nash…
Looks like an early RV?
Thames . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I don’t think it’s a Thames (an English brand of Ford small and mid size commercial trucks, which also had the blue oval with the classic script but the word “Fordson”) but I’d say many Commonwealth and English – influenced readers over 50 will get your idea.
Methinks british is a good idea. The next one that popped up was its competitor:
Leyland Atlas major.
I thought it looked American, early 1950s, perhaps based on a truck chassis.
If it’s American, it’s pre-1940; that’s the remains of a pre-sealed-beam headlamp.
I thought Commer but they seem to have a slight wheel arch opening.

I got stumped.
I was overthinking the significance of the “Not A Nash” clue.
That had me thinking, “…if not a Nash then it must be a Rambler or Jeffery or somehow a Kenosha thing.”
It’s a pisser, whatever it is!
If it’s American, it pre-dates sealed beam headlamps but looks too big to be British or European.
Stumped, over here. A Chrysler Thunderbolt Delivery Van is all I can imagine…
