Great photos! I remember as a kid in the 70s, various gas stations still used WW2 vintage Dodge WC series pickups and tow trucks for jump starting service, towing, and snow clearing.
If Legacy Classic Trucks does a rebuild of these Power Wagons the starting price for the end result is $185,000 (1).
And there is a double cab Legacy Power Wagon on BaT that will probably go for a fortune (2).
I’ve always thought that the design of these Dodge Power Wagons, in combination with the name, is the penultimate lesson in how to market a product.
Of course (IMHO) the ultimate lesson in vehicle product marketing was, and is still being taught, by Jeep.
That is an awesome truck graveyard! Perhaps they’re too rusty, but surely some of those trucks would pique the interest of truck restorers/builders.
Dodge City! I think I’ll stroll over to the Long Branch.
Some cool trucks there, good find.
Nice photos! For a moment thought it was a local field; where many years ago; there was hundreds.
