Here’s a heartwarming shot posted at the Cohort by T.Minor (and shot by Erez Abisisdris): a 1967 Fury hardtop coupe being rescued after sitting in a weedy yard for many years. No further details were given. One thing is for sure: given Israel’s dry climate, there shouldn’t be any serious rust. Here’s to a long life in its next incarnation!

Maybe my favorite Plymouth of the 60s. It looks a mite rough, but it is good that someone is trying to resurrect it. That generation of C body is a really good car, and seeing a picture like this makes me miss the ones I had. This is one of a dwindling number of cars that I would own again if the chance arose.
And look, it’s already been retrofitted with side turn signal repeaters—a very fine step. 🙂

From what I can figure, Israel’s climate resembles So. Calif., so no wonder cars last well. The latitudes are close.
Depends where. Don’t forget along the coastline it gets humid and with the salt in the air it results in an atmosphere which promotes rust. Higher up and in the desert it’s like Arizona and things indeed don’t rust but – just as in those parts of the US – trim and paint get totally baked.
Look really close at that picture. I’m pretty sure that’s a Convertible.

Looks like a convertible to me. That C-pillar looks a bit thick to be a hardtop, plus it should have brightwork around the window openings if it were.

I don’t think so according to this pic – looks more like a peeling vinyl to me. But I’m trying to find out more from the man himself.
I’m not seeing a convertible – the roofline is wrong. I see a 2 door hardtop with a white headliner starting to fall down around the edges.

That is a shame about that one. The paint is shiny and all it looks like it needs externally is a few windows
