Thanks to CC reader Fred, who guessed the 1963 Galaxie. Now, who can tell what this piece of automotive décor belongs to?
I get a VW Beetle vibe and an olde English sportscar vibe. So an olde English replica sportscar on a Beetle floorpan? Yeah, nah, probably not.
Reminds me of the taillamp treatment of the 2002 Nissan Altima, but I bet the Altima is too new.
My first thought was the other end of a firstgen Honda Fit in red, but then I noticed the body itself is black (reflecting a lot of green)

A Mary Kay RX300 perhaps?

I have no idea, so I’ll just mention the classics I’ve seen on the road in the last couple of days – a yellow-ocher Volvo DL 2-door sedan, a light metallic blue Plymouth Reliant sedan, both with excellent body and paint – and a 69 Galaxie 2-door hardtop, white with black vinyl top. I see the Galaxie both where it lives and in a nearby shopping area where I suspect the owner works.
