Appears to be a Dodge Rampage with a white camper shell, in the distance. A matching silver shell would have coordinated better. With a K-car based New Yorker in front of it. Both behind a pair of New Yorker Fifth Avenues.

Wow, ’84 at the earliest and the youngest LCF in that lineup would be coming up on 10 years old. But then my suburban township was still using their LCF dump truck/snow plows then, although a could of 2nd gen Louisville Liners were slipping in.
And is that one of the super-rare lowered Bighorns built for a Detroit-area hauler who handled Mopars? Done so they could fit an extra car over the cab, as here? Sure looks like it. I’ve seen color shots of one of these repurposed as a tow truck, but only B&W in their original state, but they are definitely painted a lighter color. The hood and grille came from FWD, who conversely used the old ’56 cab until it went out of production.

I was seeing them as late as 1990. I bought a new ’86 D-150 right off a Convoy Company Dodge LNT-1000 car hauler.
