Looks like an old Volvo Bertone Coupe.
I’m pretty sure youre right, that it’s a Volvo 200 series of some sort. I’ll guess an early 244 sedan from the chrome.
I’m retty sure it’s not. The trim looks wrong and the bend-around taillights were flush. Also, I think the filler cap was on the other side.
Doesn’t look like a real car. It looks like a model.
Good point, those are some whopper panel gaps, but more telling is the trunk lid chrome

Euro-market Audi 100LS due to the Amber signal and the lack of side reflector.
Not a Volvo, because the wraparound taillights weren’t introduced until 1979, and that crease parallel to the trunk lid never existed. Also, even though the fuel filler door looks like those on Volvo 240s (and is on the correct side), it’s too close to the rear of the car.
That car has never set wheels legally in the U.S. It’s a circa 1982 home-country-spec Vulga 133. Under the pinko commies, the Vulga was the pride and joy of the Democratic Soviet Republic of Vulgaria. But once the iron curtain fell, Vulga went quickly out of business.
Not to hard to understand why. What a nasty little car. It belched, spit and squealed its way down the road. Must have been designed by drunken sailors.
In 1990 the car’s name was changed to Vulgette in the wake of a lawsuit by an international coalition of feminists. Strangely, they didn’t also sue Volvo.
“Vulgaria” eh? I’m sure the dear leader looked like Sacha Baron Cohen with full fake beard.

Sorry, Jim, don’t think so. For starters, the fuel filler flap’s in the wrong place. It was on the rear panel, hidden behind a reflector in the case of the Zodiac. (Did Ford EVER manage to make a worse car than the benighted Zephyr/Zodiac Mk IV?)
