Curbside Outtake: Flaming Ford (not a Pinto) and a Few other Flaming Vans

Ford Van

Is there a less likely vehicle to receive a flamed paint job than a full size cargo van? This Ford Econoline looks like it was a tradesman’s van in a previous life going by the remains of some lettering. It now sports a hot rod style make over with Key Stone style rims, white letter tires and flame job on the nose. Surprisingly it isn’t the only van I’ve come across subject that has been flamed.

Dodge Van

This groovy Dodge Tradesman 200 van looks like it has driven right out of the Seventies and features three quarter length flames as well as a custom grill.

Dodge Tradesman 200

The other side does without windows but that just allows plenty of room for a mountain and lake mural. Rather faded now but I bet this vans has plenty of stories to tell.

Mazda MPV

This Mazda MPV minivan is an even more unlikely recipient of flame paint work. Likely in the hands of its final owner this Mazda goes with blue rather than the traditional red and yellow.

1949 Chevrolet Styleline

We better feature a Chevrolet after showcasing both a Ford and a Dodge. This 1949 Chevrolet Styleline stretches the definition of van perhaps but wears its flames well.
