Whilst I was heading back with my wife from a nice breakfast at a nearby restaurant, I was delighted to witness another C4 ‘Vette has joined Israel, as a new import (well, most of them are these days). Dash-cam ready as ever.
The last time I captured a Corvette C4 was during dark hours, and the footage wasn’t much to write home about. This time, although it was a murky day, at least it was well lit and this C4’s gorgeous red paint clearly shows. According to its wheels, it could be anything from 1985 to 1987. I’m going to decide it’s a 1986, unless some of you can decipher otherwise.
Starting off with… a dog:
It was so funny how this rather large San-Bernard (?) was resting about a meter from the passing traffic, unnerved as if it was looking after (shall I say saving) a particular parking spot for someone. Who knows, maybe it was.
As for the C4, I already wrote about the Israeli Corvette scene in the linked post above, so what’s left is to add some more C4 photos from various local classic car meetings. enjoy:

Cool that you got it with the dash cam. My son just bought a really nice dash mount for his car (which I drive while he’s at school) so I may have to try that to catch a few more of the CCs I see but can’t photograph.

The one at the end is my favorite, I’ve never seen a C4 with that color/top combination.
Could be an aftermarket soft-top.
I’ve seen the color itself before, but I think it might have been an anniversary package with matching exterior paint. Good choice by the owner if that’s not stock, it really classes it up.
The top is a transparent top, which was optional.
I missed that you (XR7Matt) were referring to the last picture. Looking through Old Corvette brochures I find that the standard colors for the convertible tops are white, black or saddle (tan). This was for 1986 or 1991, other years did not seem to list the choices (which probably did not change).
Notice the black SUV did several lane changes without indicating – is this standard behaviour in your country, Yohai?
Well, it *is* a Land Rover, and the ghost of Joseph “Prince of Darkness” Lucas takes a lot of killing, so maybe the driver *thinks* (s)he’s signaling?

As are dogs and cats everywhere… I can’t remember where I read it but Israel apparently has the largest number of street cats per capita – anywhere.
I like the C4 Vette. In fact the C4 is my favorite of the generations of the Corvette. Perhaps it is because it was the fact the car was born in the 1980’s and as a child in the 1980’s I was drawn to it because it was slick and modern. Or perhaps it was because Face Man on A-Team drove one and I loved(and still love) the show?
