If those of you in the U.S. look real close at your calendars, you may notice that today is German-American Day. Though by no means a major holiday, October 6th is a day in which the largest ancestry group in the United States celebrates its heritage and culture, as well as the founding of the first German settlement in America on October 6, 1683.

As a fifth-generation German-American I am not only proud of my heritage, but naturally of German cars. So it’s only appropriate for us here at Curbside Classic to celebrate German cars that have found their way across the Atlantic to American shores. Zu den Autos! (To the Cars!)
