It would be even more convincing if it was lowered and had the Fuchs alloys the yellow one has.
Sports car & van all wrapped up in one package!
Perhaps the owner of the VW van was inspired by a WWII German camouflage scheme that made a battleship (the Scharnhorst) look like a small cruiser:
It took me a second or two to realize that the Porsche was actually painted and at first, I thought, wow, it’s sitting might high up front, then realized the real wheel arches looked all wrong.
Then it dawned on me what had happened. Very cool, though I’d not have gone to great lengths to do that as if I wanted a Porsche, I’d find an older 911 anyhow.
As for the bus, I’d take it in stock configuration, though with more power under it’s back side to be more practical on the road.
Well, when you get right down to it, aren’t all air cooled VWs inspired by Porsche?
(As in Ferdinand? 😉 )

I remember reading long ago about a Vanagon that had a Porsche flat 6 of some vintage – has anyone ever shoehorned one of those into a Microbus? That and the aforementioned Fuchs would be a pretty sweet complement to this paint scheme.
Google “VW bus with Porsche engine”; there are numerous examples to choose from. I suspect that a microbus with Porsche power would be a hoot, almost as much fun as a Karmann Ghia with an upgraded power plant.
