These flowers bloomed recently in my back yard, with a little help. It’s curbside because the “flowers” were all found on the side of the road, over a period of weeks. The “stems” are an old garden hose we were pitching and the “leaves” are jig-cut from an old green plastic bin. The pot is the only thing I actually bought, and drilled holes in the bottom.
I’m a car guy, my wife isn’t, but believe it or not, this was her idea. She got the concept on the internet where she’s always looking at some book about faces. Getting the hubcaps was a fun scavenger hunt for her and our 6 year old. I loved the idea and was only too glad to put it together, it adds a nice (car-themed!) feature in the back yard.
Bonus: If you like those games where you spot the differences between two pictures, there are 5 clear changes between the first and second picture.
Bonus bonus: Four of the hubcaps are factory stock. Which ones and from what brands (no fair zooming in to see the center logo)? If you can specify models, you are a true superstar (and I don’t know the answer).

Pink with blue center modeled after the 1996-2000 Plymouth Voyager hubcap
Purple with yellow center modeled after 2002-2004 Nissan Altima hubcap
As for the yellow 6 lug hubcaps it bugs me that I can’t identify them as they look so familiar and so few vehicles seem to have six lugs and hubcaps like that!
Nicely done! I’ll take your word on the specific models. I think the big ones are generic pickup hubcaps. They were shiny “chrome”.

I love it, what a great way to add a little life to a boring fence! (I mean, beyond an actual living plant). Lower maintenance, no watering, reusing old stuff, what’s not to like!

I see 2 changes between the pictures: 1) the Plymouth Voyager hubcap’s color changes from orange to pink (inside color stays the same), 2) some of the leaf positions on the “stems”
I’ve seen that style of Voyager hubcap (base model I think) on some other cars that apparently share the same wheel diameter, even a few R/T-vintage Grand Caravans and Town & Countrys.
The 6-lug hubcaps could have come from a 4×4 Chevy or GMC, or any typical Nissan pickup or SUV. They all use that bolt pattern.
I actually have a hubcap collection of my own; this is excellent use of something that would otherwise just take up garage or shed space.
