On a completely different subject somehow this site needs to note the passing of James Harbour and his numerous contributions to auto manufacturing productivity and quality via the Harbour Report. I’m catching the GM-y vibe here with this pic, it’s probably a low end midsizer of some sort though, and also, I’m guessing from the early 90’s, not the 80s.
That said, I don’t remember seeing chrome on the Skyhawk or Firenza…or for any of the J cars for that matter. I thought they had black trim only, or did I never look close enough?
I have never seen a Cavalier or Sunbird with chrome on the bottom of the door but some of the Firenzas did have the chrome strip.( I am thinking 84-86) the Cimarron had the chrome strip on the bottom of the door but also ether had a painted section or a chrome strip on the black rubber belt molding.
The Skyhawk had a chrome strip on it during all of its production years.
Well Tom, it’s hard to say for sure because there’s a car parked on it, but I do believe it’s a gravel driveway? 😉
