Let’s see, what is (probably still) reliable, offers open air riding, a cargo bed, and (cosmetic) performance bragging rights? A third-generation Toyota Truck custom job, of course! And here is such a creation, captured and uploaded at the CC Cohort by Tim Finn.

The cool thing about “cosmetic” engine enhancements like the cobbled-together one attached to this truck’s hood? It can be whatever you daydream it to be. The upgraded fun doesn’t end there; I see newer seats and maybe a CD player. No window crank on at least one door, but is it really needed?

And well, there’s also that worn two-tone paint job, plus the “let’s make it sportier” spoiler at the back. What I can’t tell is what car donated this truck’s “upgraded” grille, but I would think someone in the comments section will have a good idea.

Love how the weight of those carbs has caved in the hood
Needs an extension of the throttle linkage to make them “operable”.
Oregon plates so maybe you can help him fabricate something…
Lol, he spent a ton of time fitting that big block Chevy in there and then he installed the 2 Holley carbs backwards!
Edit. On closer look the carbs are not backwards. The carbs are correctly installed.
With bluetooth throttle control and bluetooth fuel delivery.
I like it, but the angle of the “tunnel ram/high rise intake manifold” needs to be close to level to be more “realistic”.
I want to hate this. What otherwise would have been a $12,000 truck if restored; but now?
I want to hate this, but I don’t.
I haven’t a clue about values, but I like it better and I suspect the owner/creator likes it better. Isn’t that the whole point, not what it’s worth?
Just like Whittier (So Cal) cruise night in the 80s
That works a whole lot better than it should, I quite like it!
