Wow – I never would have recognized it as such! My first thought was something Toyota because of the headlights.
That roofline looks like a lot like a Toyota Matrix, so that would have been my guess, too.
I have no idea of what this is – generally, if you find yourself in a sea of blandness, look for the blandest one and it’s almost always a Suzuki.
It seems I’m wrong on this one, though a Suzuki would be my guess.
Oh the Airtrek! I had lots of fun with these playing Gran Turismo.
It’s a Kiazuki… No, wait, I got it… it’s a Hyunhatsu… right!
This one might even be the exclusive AWD Gran Matara Narios Labeast GLX Bluesound Wagon. And a rare silver one at that, yes siree…. Wow!

Ok, so having it identified in the first reply probably indicates it was pretty easy! Wearing a Mitsubishi badge on the nose helps; I wasn’t sure if it was an aftermarket body kit on an Outlander.
I have another one that should be a bit harder!

Actually, these aren’t remotely obscure in New Zealand! In fact my Uncle bought his Airtrek Turbo new in 2003 and it’s still his daily driver. I’ve driven it a few times and as it’s basically a tall Lancer Evo, it’s seriously quick. Of course the most unusual feature is the blue wood on the dashboard… In all seriousness though, it is a bit bland, but we toured for 3 weeks in it a few years ago, and it proved a quiet, comfy and very capable cruiser.
Hardly obscure, as Skyliner notes these are quite common here. Mitsubishi Airtrek turbo, with top mount intercooler.
Sorry, didn’t know that it’s rather commonplace in NZ. Where I am (Calgary, Canada), I think the Airtrek count is 0. I’ve seen a bunch of ex Japan RHD Forester turbos (the S/tb?) though.
