Chevy Cavalier, ’88-94. I’ll guess a Z24 model, but really all trims were so common in red. I suppose it could be a Pontiac Sunbird as well, but more likely a Cavalier.
I second 88-94 Cavalier or Sunbird two-door. The not-quite-rich kid ride of choice where I went to college.
I could be wrong, but I bet this is a red car.

Not factory paint nobody is that rough
Dad’s Allegro had a strange textured paint finish
Orange peel of OEM finish is coarser.
That one is quite likely a repaint.
The paint was more durable than the metal it was applied to on some Leyland cars
