Nobody got the Bullet Bird’s unique door handle shadow. Well, that was a bit obscure. Now this isn’t obscure (just small), and since we just had a big comment thread going on about 400 inch engines, how appropriate is this for our next Curbside Classic? But before you blurt out your guess, remember that everything is not always what it seems to be, or should be.

Both of you guys may well be right. But I picked ’72 because I once passed up on a ’71-with a 383. I seem to recall the engine callout decal was on the hood scallops though. It may be you could get both engines in ’71, but I don’t know why that would be. Guess we’ll have to wait and see….
383 was replaced by 400 in ’72. So ’72 it is. I’ll call it a Sebring Plus.
71 Satellite or Road Runner with an engine from a 1973 Satellite or Road Runner. Turn signal is a 71, engine decal is a 73 at the earliest. Maybe a 71 with a bored and stroked small block and decals from a 73?
oops 72 was the first year for 400. It occurs to me that maybe it’s a late build 71 or early 72, they sometimes would use leftover parts or mid year transitions. Or it could be a “pilot” car for the 72 model year.

It’s a ’71 Satellite or Roadrunner, alright, but the style of the engine callout is wrong and not OEM.
Looks like I picked the wrong time to spend the weekend away from my PC….
