That looks like an old 1983 Subaru GL coupe. The one that had small rear quarter windows.
I think you’re right – an early ’80s Subaru two-door hardtop. I believe this generation lasted from 1980-84.

It’s a match. To a car that I had completely forgotten the existence of… I remember this shape of Subaru but really only the 3-door and the wagon. These coupes can’t have been very common!
This is so weird, I can’t place it, the chrome on the roof, the quarter glass, I dunno…..the weatherstrip around the door makes me think modern car.
It looks like the whole car has chrome paint.
