Heads up, F-Body lovers! Here’s just the thing for you if you’re tired of hearing your passengers bitch about the leg room in the back of your Firebird or Camaro. This thing will treat four passengers to royal accommodations in the back compartment of what may be (but I wouldn’t bet on it) the only thing of its kind.
Given that this was built by Dave T’s Auto Centre (yes, it’s in Edmonton, Alberta) to promote his Firebird and Camaro business, he might have at least used a Camaro for the rear half. or vice versa. Too bad the T-Tops weren’t removed. Here’s the text from the ad:

Of course your passengers might still bitch about the short seat cushion, but you can’t make everybody happy all the time. Especially with an F-Body.

Clearly he knows what he’s got and won’t be dealing much. I don’t think I’ve seen one of those trunk mounted antennas in years (decades?), they used to be on every other ’80’s TownCar limo.
The odd part is that looking at the photos, it’s not obvious where the TV is located. Or does that antenna double as the radio antenna?
I’ll bet Burt Reynolds wishes that he could have got Sally Field into a back seat like that.

I think DOT rules require a mustache and a mullet to operate this vehicle. Also required is a mandatory drug test. You must test…positive.

Believe it or not…I kinda like it. Last weekend was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Five friends and I went out to dinner. We all piled into an SUV. But I just imagined all of us piling into this Firebird with the t-tops off!
Then again, I was always a fan of the four door Corvette America conversions:

I like it but it’s too easy to imagine the front end folding right up with that F body subframe held in place by a handful of bolts.
If it rides as low as a normal Firebird, the driver should avoid railroad tracks
There must be a reason there is no side shot of this car. From the photos posted here, the roof lines between the t-tops does not flow. More time and custom fabrication should have been completed to blend the two sections together. It reminds me of the movie The Centipede.
David T’s is well known in Alberta as a Camaro/Firebird wrecker/reseller. I think they mostly run this ad to advertise their business. I personally find their prices optimistic but they have been that way for at least twenty years so someone must be buying if they are still in business.
