Odd! I’d guess they stripped/painted over the Di-Noc but left the trim due to all the mounting holes. I LOVE the 64-65 Falcons and Comets!
Didn’t want to spring for tan paint in the woodgrain panel, like on that big Chrysler wagon a few days back. “It’s just a Falcon.”
I am all over those mag wheels. They are either the ‘65 Shelby Mustang pieces, or they are credible knockoffs. Try buying a set and see how much they cost, once you locate them…
I think the Shelby mags are a little more convex, Dutch. Still, a great look…these look like they might be 16s.
I’ll check the size when we get home. In 6 weeks. We’re on a road trip.
The original owner checked the “DiNoc delete” option box.
I think the area where the fake wood would have gone should be painted to match the interior.
The Ford Flex had this look from the factory.
