All good things come to an end, and in the coming days, the ongoing stories from our current COAL contributors will reach their conclusions. So, once again, we at CC are looking for willing readers who would like to share their car stories and experiences as COAL contributors.
What does it take, you ask? Mainly, a wish to talk about the cars that have been part of your life. No writing experience is necessary; just send us to [email protected] a list of the cars you wish to write about and, preferably, a sample text of your first story.
As usual, we’re also looking for contributors who wish to share their car experiences and automotive knowledge. If you’ve no interest in joining our COALers but have something you wish to talk about with our audiend, let us know what you have in mind.
I bought a Crosley car when young …
With dreams of roads and songs unsung.
Through summer fields, we’d laugh and glide,
My lady friend right by my side.
The sunlit days, they stretched so long –
We’d roll along with joy and song.
The countryside, all painted scenes,
As on we’d roll, eternal teens.
The wind danced through her flowing hair,
Moments treasured, beyond compare.
Though time moved on, and she’s not here,
In every cloud, I see her near.
Though cars may age, and years may fade,
Those memories linger unbetrayed.
In quiet moments, I close my eyes,
And hear her laugh ‘neath open skies.
Beautiful.
Lovely.
But you left out the ending. When something snapped and you glided to a halt in the middle of nowhere…precious memories!
I love this poem .
