Cars I’ve loved, cars I’ve lost. Mostly VWs and Hondas with the odd 10,000 gallon fuel truck thrown in.

1965 Pontiac Bonneville
1968 Buick Wildcat
1972 Buick Electra 225

1977 Mercury Marquis (1st Ford and coupe)
1981 Buick LeSabre (coupe and last car as he died that same year)
Cool! Did I make this misleading? The first essay is Cars of My Parents; the rest are my other cars. I didn’t mean these were my parents’ cars.
Interesting that, despite you being a bit younger than me (based on your ‘first car’ piece), we have a good bit of overlap. I’ve owned a ’71 bus, ’64, ’63 and ’62 Beetles, ’89 and ’90 Civic three-door hatches, and truck-wise, a ’69 F-100, ’95 F-150, ’99 F-250 Powerstroke, ’15 RAM 2500 and my current ’21 RAM Classic.
Wow, yep. I’m 57.
The world seemed so much nicer when I was “57”. Your “Vdub”, bus there looks much like one my neighbor owned around “1974”. Think it was ‘orange/brownish, inside.
Was one of those “camp mobiles”.
