Today’s gallery of vintage Ford dealership postcards takes us back to the 1960s and 1970s. From Falcons and Fairlanes to Mustangs, Galaxies, and hardworking pickups, there’s plenty of familiar Fords here to browse. And as always, besides the product on display, these cards capture the distinctive signs, architecture, and spirit of an era when a trip to the local dealership was a memorable event in itself.

“Vega”, wagon on the lot in “Pleasantville, NJ”.
Next to a Pinto wagon, both flanked by Mavericks. Not a very good time for small US cars.
Better than now, what’s the smallest Ford available these days, the Escape? Bronco Sport???
Gillespie Ford in San Antonio goes way back. Back to the Alamo in fact.
I find the used car lots more interesting compared to what’s in the dealer showroom.
Don Stone Ford, Bloomington, IL: August of ’71 you or I or anybody with $1,000.00 could have bought the ’66 Shelby Mustang GT350 painted Wimbledon white/blue stripes sitting on their lot. At the time I preferred my ’69 Mach I with its 351 Windsor (M-code). How I wish I had that GT350 now.
I can only wish I had the $ to peruse those used car lots back then .
