Ramblers, a Jaguar, an MGA, and an MGB in Santa Rosa. Ok, then…
The green, convertible there is calling to me!
I wish I could go back in time and shop at Chuchuas Jeep. 40 years from now, where will people wish they could go back to and shop for gray cars?
The site of Sears Auto Sales on Cape Cod is now a used car dealer, but otherwise it looks just like it did sixty years ago. And although it had changed hands, this was still a Jeep Dealer (called Premier Jeep) until about 2010:

Just curious, did this have anything to do with Sears Roebuck stores?
I love all of these. It’s the green Matador (X?) coupe at Savage AMC for me. And those Pacers still look somewhat futuristic in 2026. I see this pictures and can totally understand the initial traffic buzz.
Re: Snider Rambler. Evidently customers traded a ’64 Wildcat and ’65 Bonneville, two of the most desirable full sizers of the ’60s IMO, for a Rambler. Hard times.
Was actually “Snider Buick-Rambler”.
Overland Park AMC survived for decades. Was a full line Chrysler dealer at the end.
I lived in an apartment just east of there in the 1980s when AMC was mostly Renaults. You can see the roofs of the apartments behind the store.
From when the roof was an option on a Jeep. Really!
Circa 1970-1971, was a Rambler/Jeep dealer two separate franchises, or just one? The American Motors Company bought Jeep from Kaiser sometime in 1970, IIRC, but it seems like AMC didn’t consistently force (encourage?) their dealerships from rebranding away from the Rambler name until later in the 1970s.
Yep, that’s how they looked when I drove up to work.
If memory serves, Brian Chuchua’s Jeep was swapping Buick V6s into CJ’s long before Kaiser bought the rights and tooling from GM and started doing it themselves.
Nice old dealers, I wish I could roam those used car lots ! .
