Wow, nicely preserved small town…
I was in that Burdines in Fort Lauderdale when I was a kid, and was all over KC though I don’t recall those roads.
What beautiful Americana! Thank you so much!
As someone who grew up in and on Lake Hopatcong (largest lake in NJ), which is near the Lake Mohawk plaza and private community in Sparta, NJ, I can say that the buildings still look very much like they do in this postcard. There was a bar and another bar/brewery we used to hang out in just outside the picture in the 90’s.
Estes Park exactly how I remember it from the early 1960s when we went there for vacation every summer. The Indian Village curious and gift shop was always a favorite of mine. Last time I was there it was too, but everything else was different. And of course its grown massively.
Yes, as I remember too. We lived in Colorado Springs
What amazing main streets we had before capitalism started eating itself. Now we have mainly brutalist superstores and small empty premises
Lovely and brings back so many memories .

So Tucumcari is a real town – it’s mentioned in a Lowell George song.
So Cool. Of course I wasn’t alive yet. But from what I hear (and see), I wish I was.
