Fitting Punishment: India Makes Bad Drivers Work As Traffic Police

Sometimes more than just old cars catches our attention. The Deputy Commissioner of Police in Guargaon, India has come up with a new way to punish repeat traffic offenders: force them to deal with the traffic they’ve just made worse by running red lights. And it happens instantly: offenders at a commonly abused intersection are pulled over and forced to direct the chaos they just contributed too. Somehow, I don’t see it catching on here, despite its intrinsic appeal.
