In fact, the original 1947 center steer prototype used a Jeep frame and running gear, although I’m pretty sure production versions used bespoke components.

Like everyone else said, early Land Rover.
If it is a series 1 its had the headlights updated, series one had prefocus bulb type lights that clue is wearing sealed beams, just sayin.
And I thought Roger knew everything, but he’s never mentioned this! ?
