Sorry…….UGLY.
Yuck!
After seeing this I had to look at a ’57 in Mountain Laurel just to get the shaking under control.
Not my choice of color, but to me it was tastefully done. The 2 tone helps, and it’s not covered with gaudy add-ons. Aside from some rust coming from under the vinyl top, it looks to be in pretty good shape and active condition. Often by now the rear filler panels have begun to disintegrate, but I see you can get replicas.
What I’m wondering is what’s all over the rear deck? Is the back seat full of trash?
Looks like stuffed animals to me.
I need to agree with Troy C above. Not at all what I would want. Due to the black top, I think it would have been fantastic if done in a black and silver-gray two tone. Since it appears to be a black interior, that would have been stunning. I miss two tones paint work.
But in those shades of pink and purpleish pink with the black, it’s just too much. But I give them credit for not gluing the nasty huge grille and other junk to the car.
Yes, the black top spoils it, It makes the roof look as though it ends with the door, making the downward sweep of the decklid look out of place. I’m sure Cadillac offered other colours that would suit the pink better. I mean, if you’re doing a two-tone repaint on a car this size, cost obviously isn’t an issue, so why not redo the roof as well?
So Barbie has a Cadillac. Who knew?
Or Johannes Dutch!
On the contrary.
The Mary Kay Special Award Car, LOL!!! 🙂
“didn’t I tell you not to buy anything big?” “Its in my mudder’s name” “what did you say?”
Yep.
PMWIP — Pardon me while I puke!
Pink is mandatory for Cadillacs in Netherlands. Even the manufacturer adheres to this. I think its quite an interesting color.
A lot of riding on the Freeway of Love there?
Although part of me is repelled by this, part of me actually likes it. The two tone is really well done. I have never seen anything like this. I wonder who owns it?
Having grown up reading much too much Road & Track and taking their article much too seriously, as a young man I was very much philosophically of the hair-shirt school of motoring (AC Shelby Cobras, Morgans, Lotus Super 7s and MG TCs were my dream cars) I wouldn’t have been caught dead in a Cadillac. But, darned! As I get older Cadillacs look better and better to me. Even in pink.
Not ideal. Neatly done though. This is some place in “Europe”? Homes have a “UK” look.
The Netherlands.
Me thinks someone was a Mary Kay salesman
Put me in the ugly camp. I know pink Cadillacs are a thing… for some reason…. But this is just bad, the black vinyl top should at least be white, the two tone is the most random two tone I’ve ver seen, divided only by the arbitrary side moldings and the hood body lines where it goes BACK to the other pink shade, and the pinks themselves, it’s either Mary Kay or Pepto, pick one! They don’t look right together
Damn my comment got insta-disappeared, but I’ll add on to it since I can’t edit it: this two tone looks less like two tone than it does Mary Kay with Pepto stripes. I just can’t get over the lines chosen for it
*** note this is constructive criticism, if the owner likes it this way that’s fine, I’d rather this car lives on in any form than not. For me a 1978 Cadillac being one shade of pink in and of itself in 2026 is enough to stand out.
YIKES!
It’s not an SUV, oversized 4 x 4 or a Dormobile ( I’m keen to revive this name for mini/micro buses after the Bedford CF post the other day) so yay. It’s almost certainly being driven -in the wild by someone doing their own thing in the most conformist world I can remember, so yay. That’s a double yay. On the other hand it really isn’t my cup of tea but at least it exists, not a car you’d forget in a hurry.
I’m wanting to go to Baskin Robbins for ice cream after seeing this car.
