About that touch-up paint you sold me . . . .
The air-conditioning is taking a loooong time to cool this thing off.
The “Fire” trigger has been a bit erratic lately…
Visibility isn’t what it could be on this vehicle, sir.
Doggoned high beltlines these days…
I hear a rattle underneath while I’m driving, and the damn thing goes through tires like crazy.
No charge for topping-up the windscreen washer bottle.
Nobody has suggested a make yet. Don’t think it’s a Daimler…
“I just came from Corvallis for the Beavers-Ducks game. Which way is the stadium?”
+1.
No cute comment just the observation that the repair shop at the end of my street in Montpelier, VA has a WWII M3(?) Greyhound armored car sitting in one of the shop bays. Saw it yesterday for the first time, walked in to take a look, still has the (Chrysler, I believe) flathead six engine in it. It belongs to guy in Beaver Dam, VA (twelve miles away) who’s a big military truck collector. I’ve seen a few of his 6×6’s on the road, didn’t realize he also had combat vehicles.
My cousin lives in Beaverdam (if there is such a thing as “in” Beaverdam – it looked pretty far out in the country when we visited a few years ago.) She’s an avid hiker and if you’ve ever seen an old tall red Nissan Pathfinder it’s probably hers.
I remember back in the days you could tell APCs apart. Everything is so jellybean now. What kid today is going to grow up and reminiscence about riding in that POS? I’m right because I’m old!
(Rephrasing one I’ve used before)
Murilee Martin’s Dodge A100 Hell Project reaches its logical conclusion.
“The new 2020 Toyota Camry LE takes the slit-window theme too far.”
I always wondered what a Volvo 240 would look like in camo, tanks for posting that

Hey BUDDY, how do I get this thing out of second gear?
+1 🙂
Ammo bins need topping up ready for a road rage day
‘What seems to be the problem, Ma’am?’
‘Well, every time I gun it, it feels like it’s misfiring. Which is weird, normally the thing drives like a tank.’
And we have a winner!
+1 🙂
It’s Teller-Morrow.
Looks like SamCro is getting serious about dealing with Damon Pope.
Nice comment. It’d certainly fit into what FX considers 1%er reality. Funny, I flew colors for 16 years, and have yet to kill anybody. For that matter, haven’t hit anybody, either.
The owner of this thing’s gonna be everyone’s best friend when the apocalypse comes…
Off topic: Can someone identify the typeface in which “Stadium Automotive” is printed? It seems very familiar, and yet I can’t seem to place it. A very good signage face. Can someone identify it?
It reminds me of Century Gothic, but I’m not sure that’s it.
It is in the same family (Geometric sans-serif), but not CG. The A and M have pointed tops, the M descender is only part way down, etc. This is really irritating me as I *should* be able to recognise it but can’t. I have probably seen it in some movie poster, or TV spot, or …, drat it.
Its probably Neutra Display http://www.identifont.com/show?OEF
The identifont site is amazing.
There still remains the small matter of where I’ve seen that typeface, but something is better than nothing.
EDIT: This typeface was composed by Richard Neutra from several Art-Deco era building signages. That’s why it looks lovely to me. Note especially the art-deco `E’ and ‘A’ with the bars lower than midpoint. Excellent stuff! Still can’t place where I’ve seen that M though. OK I just aired the typography geek in me. Sorry.
Got the sucker! Note the `M’ and `A’. Not the `E’ though, or the `Q’. I’ve also seen it elsewhere, but the typeface seems to be everywhere. http://blog.threestepsahead.com/rants/neutraface-is-the-new-helvetica/
