The year is coming to its closing months, and coincidentally, some of our COAL series are reaching their end as well. Time to find new COAL contributors, the Cars Of A Lifetime section that’s become a CC tradition. A place to share with our community your car stories –cars that were part of your family, first purchases, memorable trips, and other such experiences.
If you have doubts about your capabilities, put those aside. If you’ve engaged in social media commenting, you’re halfway there on what’s needed. Send us an email of the cars you wish to write about to curbsideclassic@gmail.com and, if possible, a text sample.
Also, we’re always interested in contributors willing to share their experiences, car finds, and other such car-related material. Send us a note and let us know what you’ve got in mind.

If you are on the fence – do it. I’m having a blast writing my COAL pieces. It gives me a chance to document events, people, and emotions that would otherwise be at risk of disappearing with my memories. If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at writing, this is a golden opportunity. And, if nothing else, your kids will thank you. I wish my dad had taken the time to record some of his hilarious car and motorcycle memories. He’s been gone for just 4 months, and I’m finding that I already can’t remember the finer points of his oft-repeated exploits, and I’ll never get them back.
I have been on this page for years. My only trepidation is being a lurker and not a contributor. Been on the fence for quite a long time.
I have also been on this site for years, and yes I am lurker and sometimes a contributor only in the comments. A post might bring back memories / experiences, but no way can I can contribute some of the detailed evaluations of old cars I have enjoyed reading on this site. Wish I could contribute more.
