As part of many changes to our back end operations, we’ve also gotten rid of our excessively short (48 hour) log in time. This was a serious annoyance, but deemed necessary as a security issue. That’s no longer the case, so now once you’re logged in, you will stay logged in for a month, and if you check the “Remember Me” box, up to a year.
If you’ve never actually registered to CC, I do recommend it, especially now, as it will allow you to comment without having to leave an email and such. Here’s where to register. And we also have a couple of more things we encourage:
And of course, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of our limited-ad or no-ad memberships. Now with extended log-in, they’re even more compelling.
Email notifications (box at bottom of this post) make sure you never miss a post. There’s a choice of daily or weekly notifications.
Thanks as always for your support!

Thanks so much for this upgrade! I grew so tired of logging in, then clicking a link to read an article, only to then be logged out.
Noticed and appreciated
A great improvement.
Excellent! I kept forgetting to log in lately….and as a rule, I don’t keep ANY passwords on my phone, so anyway I read CC unlogged quite often. But, this is a real advance.
Much appreciated – Thank you!
Nicely done!
Wonderful! I’ve logged in and hit “remember me.”
So very pleased that this change has been implemented.
Excellent! Thank you Paul and team! 🙂
Hooray!
Thank Christ, Taffy!
