I first saw this picture of this “interesting” truck on a forum I belonged to years ago. I’ve been looking for it for years…finally found it.

“It’ll fit – just hand me those tinsnips.”
or
“For Sale – One of one Camaro-based pickup prototype. Ultra rare, $9,000.”
Tin snips, or Sawzall. A little bondo, some fiberglass patches, I think it will look just fine. But on second thought, I think he should have kept the Camaro. Then cut the back end off and grafted on the truck bed!
That works better if you ignore the fact it would be an F-Body pickup.
Shudder…literally. 😉
or
“One owner, original Barn Find(imported from Eugene, Oregon), includes two-tone paint from Earl Scheib… Will only sell to buyers with mullets.”
Cash or food stamps only!
Somebody has a sense of humor. Love it!
“MORE BONDO! AND THE BIG TROWEL!”
“Just hit a deer, need a new front clip, what’s lying around out back? This’ll do!”
If only they’d had the right hood for it too…
Sure emphasizes how long the front overhang was on those F-bodies.
The first and last “El Camarino”.
Probably worked better in his head than how it turned out.
True. The hood being the biggest problem.
Would love it if it was an S-10 pickup instead of a Nissan hard body
That rolling advertisement for eye bleach appears to sport an Ohio bicentennial plate.
Kinda makes me embarrassed to be a Buckeye. 🙁
I assume this was in the Wallymart parking lot ? .

Most likely in the first week of the month.
Just because one can doesn’t mean one should…
It has a bit of a Dodge Rampage flavor to it…
Driving your truck with the bed door down reduces it’s structural integrity. Not that his guy cares.
Bed door? Just curious, is that a European term or something?
No, I just couldn’t think of TAILGATE yesterday.
Great find Fred. Some enterprising Queenslanders down here had a similar idea for our Commodore utes. It was a custom fit front clip, but I don’t think the take-up rate was high.
Maybe if he’d installed the front clip level everything would’ve fit under the hood!
Think he was trying for this, but obviously, didn’t succeed…
That actually works. Nice fitting.
You guys can laugh all you want, but I’ve got a red hardbody with serious front end damage, just like this one, the butt of all your jokes.
Now all I have to do is find a donor Camaro!
Here you go…

All the funnier for using a Nissan truck. Love the wad of raw bondo attaching the seam on the fender.
How about a Fox Mustang clip on a Toyota Tacoma?
Or an 84 Dodge Daytona clip on a Mazda pickup.
