Nice collection. It is great to see a variety of colors on the cars. Thanks.
We’ve been to quite a few of these places over the years. Drove the “Million Dollar Highway” just last November on our way to New Mexico; it is a spectacular drive.
We actually knew the owner of the Hartsook Inn in the redwoods. It was a bad investment, as he bought it in the 1980s at a time when traditional resorts like this were commonly in decline. It eventually closed and only more recently reopened as a wellness resort.
Some “right, spiffy, polished shots. Sad to hear about the “Hartsook”. Not surprising, sad just the same. My uncle, aunt lied on a reservation @ “Whiteriver, AZ”, for years. The “Hopi, house”, pic made me think of them.
Was a “Hopi”, reservation they lived on. He taught, school, she was a nurse at the hospital//medical facility.
Were there from mid, “50’s” to “1980”.
Roamed the east coast, a bit a the country returning to “AZ”. Lived the retired years in “Scotdale”.
Nice and bring back many fond if sweaty memories of Summer travels .

I need to get out more, having seen only 3 of these — Harpers Ferry, Manitou Springs (rode the cog train to the summit of Pikes Peak), and Hoover Dam (twice). I also saw the Grand Canyon but don’t remember the Hopi House.
