Don’t look now, but some suspicious lookin’ youts is congregatin’ in front of da Reed Sales buildin’! 😉
Good call. Now, what was the relationship between PK Williams Nash and the connected Reed showroom? Usually the used car division doesn’t have its own name.
And what hot car are the youts looking at?
It seems that Reed Sales Co. was a gas station, tire dealer, and sold things that general farm & home stores would (like small boats, fertilizer, air conditioners, etc.). It doesn’t appear to me that the businesses were related, other than being adjoined.
I believe you’re right, my eyes aren’t what they used to be but the neon sign in Reed’s window says “Sporting Goods”.
Anyone from “western PA” remember “Fugini Ford”? They did the service station, car dealer thing for a fair “spell”.
usually there were “three-four, new rides” lined up out front when one rode by.
Ove the the side I believe, there would be “2-3 trucks..
Wonder if the building there still stands?
H’mm
It almost looks like all three of those cars in the showroom are in a matching color combination, though it is hard to tell with the black & white photo.
I don’t believe Nash was a big seller in the south.
As a child, I only remember one AMC dealer in the whole New Orleans area while there were 3 dealers each of the major brands (Chevy, Ford, Dodge).
Nice .
