Reminds me of Big Birds truck from one of the Muppet movies.

We’ll call it “The T.K. Keller”. You can wear your hat!
Was this the inspiration for the greenhouse on the Subaru SVX?
I see it also has the wonderful 4100 engine! Yikes!
The 1985 Honda Civic Wagon of Cadillacs.
Circa 83-85? Looks like that t bird might be an 83 according to signage and that k5 with the hood open looks brand new
It’s the rare 23-window Safari edition!
You win.
Ah, yes, the late-70s GM “Sheer Horror Look.”
ROFL!
If the transoms were meant to save money by leaving the standard windows, they spent it all on the windshield. Custom curved safety glass isn’t cheap.
Probably used windshield from Ambulance or Hearse version.
For folks who are interested, here is the full limo — looks like the picture was taken in 1985. The tow hitch is an unexpected extra.
I’m not so sure I would want to use a bumper mounted hitch on that bumper. Perhaps it is modified, or there may be more to the hitch that shows in this photo. From the factory the only thing that connected the bumper to the frame is two shock absorber style impact absorbers.
I would agree.
The inner beam in that GM bumper design is prone to rusting out, (personal experience), and the bumper can simply fall off without being tugged on by a trailer.
I inherited a bumper hitch on my 1972 Pontiac, and it proved way too light duty for my Dad’s 15′ sport boat (bumper flexing in and out in an alarming way). I had a frame mounted unit welded on, much more satisfactory and reassuring.
I bet that drives nice with the HT-4100 V8 in it lol.
Same idea as the Checker Medic model with a Caddy as the base
The timing is highly suspect. I have to wonder, did this inspire Alexey Pajitnov, the inventor of Tetris?
Purportedly this raised roof 1975 Pontiac Grand Safari belonged to John Wayne. It was sold at auction a few years ago.
You can keep your hat on!
Gross. What is it about Cadillacs, in particular, that inspires such exuberant vandalism?
Which end of a caribou was this car named after?
That’s not the name of the car, it’s the name of the company offering this disfigurement kit for the low, low price of $1,325 installed (in today’s dollars).
But your question remains valid.
Vintage.es has some strange limofied Range Rovers, including several transoms like this.
