Well, maybe “eclectic” isn’t really the right word, as there’s only one Chevy and two Toyotas. But there’s quite the age spread; the truck is a ’37; the Toyota van from the 80s, and, well, the Prius is contemporary. Now if there had been a car from about 1962 or so, there would have been a nice roughly quarter-century gap between them all.

Dang, that is a driveway in the city!!?? Looks country. Someone better rescue that Master Ace before it decays any further. So is the 37 a daily driver? Anyone else think it feels weird to park a new car on a lawn or in a field?
Not at all. Of course, our second-most recent purchase was the ’08 F-350 V10 regular cab 5-speed with the offroad 4×4 package (about 14 inches of ground clearance–even Andre the Giant would have to climb up into this truck), so the field is almost a more natural place for it.
I feel the opposite actually, new cars can be parked anywhere, old cars deserve better, like a dry driveway.

I find the Chev engages my interest overwhelmingly, compared to the other two. It looks beautiful in this setting. And it’s really the dominant appeal of the photo for me. It looks at home here. It’s lines seem so natural and elegant.
Call me jaded, but unfortunately the first thing I noticed on the new Toyota, is the oversized brand. Not it’s styling.

That 37 looks cool! If its not complete enough or too rough to restore…RAT ROD! The prius looks like its about to be pushed off into a ravine or something…. a deserving fate!
I’m surprised the Prius doesn’t get more Brougham love around here, with its’ ride-biased suspension, “Bisque” velour upholstery, and the same air of respectability a 4-door Cutlass Supreme must’ve had in the late ’70s.

Yep, that’s a good photo.. The ’37 Chevy looks like a good-natured old mutt of a dog, and that older Toyota lurking in the background makes me think of a cat plotting mayhem. The Prius looks like it’s smiling; maybe it’s a little girl in her new blue dress, playing with her two pets… There I go, getting all anthropomorphic again…
I have a sales data book for the 1937 Chevrolet it only covers the car unfortunately and a friend has a 1 ton 37 Chev in a field the cab is shot and mostly missing
Ah , the 1937 Chevrolet line , both cars and trucks had beautiful Waterfall grilles .
FWIW , parking any vehicle over grass is always a very bad thing ! .

For reasons that are totally beyond me, the Hi-Ace vans are not seen in the United States. Otoh, we were in Costa Rica in January 2012, and I would swear that the passenger Hi-Ace was the single most common vehicle in the country, although that may only apply in the heavily tourist areas.
I think it’s a LiteAce~TownAce (smaller than the HiAce van).
